Roger D. Horgan is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Psychology and French and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. After having operated a general practice of law for many years, Roger has now limited his practice almost exclusively to Personal Injury litigation. He became affiliated with ABES BAUMANN, P.C., on an of-counsel basis, in 1998. He concentrates his practice in automobile accident litigation, truck accident litigation, premises liability and wills and estates. Roger is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Until December of 2002, Roger worked simultaneously for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania as an allocatur clerk. This position involved the review of requests by litigants to have their cases heard by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Roger held that position for fourteen years, and it provided him with a world of experience.
Roger is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has lectured for purposes of continuing legal education for attorneys and in a diversionary program for first time criminal offenders. Roger is also fluent in conversational French.
Roger is married and has two children. He is on the Board of Commissioners in Collier Township, a past member of the Zoning Hearing Board of Collier Township, and coaches soccer and baseball for community teams. He is also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, having served as President of Division 32 and Solicitor for the Allegheny County Board.
