Thomas C. Baumann

Tom Baumann, shareholder of ABES BAUMANN, began practice in 1979. After graduating cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1976, he received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1979. Initially he served as a law clerk to the Honorable H. Clifton McWilliam, President Judge of the Cambria County Court of Common Pleas. Tom joined ABES BAUMANN in 1987 and became a named partner in 1991. Tom is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Tom plays an active role in many legal associations. Along with belonging to the Allegheny County Bar Association, he has been the Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair of its Workers' Compensation Section. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (where he has been the Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section, as well as currently sitting on its Board of Governors), and the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (where he was on the Board of Governors).

Tom is also on the Workers' Compensation Panel for both the National Football League Players Association and the Professional Hockey Players Association. He is also Chairman of the Unity Township Planning Commission.
