Workers' Compensation
This law focuses on the remedies and compensation for injury to an employee arising out of and in the course of employment that is paid to the worker or dependents by an employer or their Workers' Compensation Insurance carrier, as set forth by the Legislature and the Appellate Courts.
- were you injured on the job?
- did a repetitive motion at the workplace cause an injury?
- do you have a work related injury?
- are you injured or disabled as a result of work?
- were you laid off from light duty work, following a work injury?
If you answer "yes" to any of the above questions, you may have a claim for Workers' Compensation. See our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) relating to this topic, or fill out the form on this site - we will be happy to speak with you - there is no charge to you for this consultation.

Personal Injury
This area of the law involves civil cases designed to obtain compensation for injury to your person. The personal injury attorney usually tries to negotiate with the opposing party or their insurance company, if necessary, and if the attorney believes that your claim is valid, the case may go to trial. The main concerns in a personal injury case are negligence and liability. Before you can collect an award, your attorney will have to prove that the defendant is liable. To prove liability, the attorney must establish negligence. If there is a failure to exercise reasonable care to prevent injury or damage, then there may be negligence. Once liability and negligence have been established, the judge or the jury may award money to compensate for medical costs, loss of past or lost future earnings as well as for pain, suffering and inconvenience.

Social Security Disability
Our practice in this area involves helping people, who due to mental or physical problems, are unable to work for at least a year, and are seeking Social Security Disability benefits. We advise them about applying for these benefits. If they are denied after an initial application, we file a request for a hearing and represent them at the hearing.

Veterans Benefits
The federal government has set up an extensive system for veterans benefits. Our practice in this area involves representing veterans who file claims for compensation for service-connected or non-service-connected disabilities. Under the law, we cannot represent a veteran until an interim decision is issued by the Board of Veterans Appeals. However, prior to that time we do provide advice regarding how to file for benefits and the process that follows the initial application.
